RENTAL POLICY
GENERAL POLICY

IDENTIFICATION:  
All customers, current and new, must present a valid MD, VA, or DC driver’s license or ID to the representative. Damaged ID’s will require
another ID with a valid address to supplement.  Customers who do not live in the general area will be required to leave a full security
deposit.  The deposit amount will vary depending on the item being rented.  Rentals can’t be made under a spouse, relative, or friend’s
name.

PAYMENT:  
All payments are to be made in advance.   We accept cash or any major credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, or Discover). Pre-
paid cards are accepted but will be required to leave a security deposit.  Unfortunately, we do not accept checks or gift cards.  

All customers will be required to show ID before the card is charged. We do not accept credit cards that don’t belong to you, that don’t
have a cardholder’s name, and temporary bank cards.

Policies vary for both equipment and party rentals. Please look under the particular type of equipment for more information.

Homeowner & Contractor Equipment Payment Policy:  
All items are to be paid in advance.  We charge for time out, not time used.

Credit: Customers who choose to use a credit card will only be charged for the rental. Only heavy equipment will require a hold on your
credit card until the equipment is return to us. These rentals include:

$500 hold:  Skid-steers, excavators, backhoes, terramites, rollers, & wood chippers.
$300 hold:  Tow-behind compressors, trenchers, log splitters, tow-behind welders, & stump grinders.

Cash:  Customers who choose to pay cash are required to pay the deposit amount for the rental. When the item is returned, the deposit will
be returned minus the amount of the rental. Please be aware that the rental amount and deposit amount are different.

$600 hold:  Skid-steers, excavators, backhoes, terramites, rollers, & wood chippers.
$400 hold:  Tow-behind compressors, trenchers, log splitters, tow-behind welders, & stump grinders.

Party Payment Policy:
All items are to be paid in advance. We charge for time out, not time used.

Items paid with credit will only be required to pay for the total of the rental. Items paid with cash will be required to pay the amount of the
rental with a deposit.  Deposit amounts vary from the amount of equipment being rented.  To determine this amount, the deposit amount is
equal to the subtotal of the items being rented but not to exceed $250. The deposit amount will be returned once the equipment has been
returned.


HOMEOWNER & CONTRACTOR EQUIPMENT POLICY

PRICING:  
We charge for time out, not time used.  Prices are subject to change without notice.  

METERED EQUIPMENT:  
Rates for rentals equipped with timed meters are based on 4 hours for a half day, 8 hours for a day, 40 hours for a week, and 168 hours per
month.  Additional usage will be charge accordingly.

FUEL:
All equipment are sent out full of fuel. Please remember to fill the gas/diesel tank back to full prior to your return. A fuel charge will be
added to any equipment returned low on fuel. Please be sure to verify the gas if full before leaving.

DAMAGE WAIVER (optional):  
If your equipment is damaged while in use, our rental damage waiver will help you avoid out-of-pocket expenses, limit your liability, and
control costs.  The optional fee is available at an amount of 10% of the items cost.  Oxon Hill Rentals assumes risk of damage to rental items,
except the following risks assumed by the Customer: (a) Loss, damage, vandalism, malicious mischief, and theft (b) Loss, damage or theft of
accessory items such as extension cords, etc. (c) Loss due to mysterious disappearance or wrongful conversion by a person entrusted with
rental items (d) Damage waiver is null and void if damage is caused by a third party not associated or related to the Customer.

FLAT TIRES:  
Flat tires are customer’s responsibility.  Please verify that all equipment is in working order before leaving our lot.  Flat tire service rates are
$30 per hour for labor, plus the cost of repairs.

MALFUNCTIONING EQUIPMENT:  
Customers should be aware of how to use our equipment before leaving our lot.  Our employees will be glad to test run our equipment for
you to verify the equipment is in working order. Please inspect our equipment before leaving for us to note any previous damages.   Any
complaints on rental equipment must be called within one hour of leaving our store to be considerable for any adjustments.  
  


PARTY EQUIPMENT POLICY

RENTAL PERIODS:
Our party equipment is rented for a 48-hour period.  Any items picked up on Friday or Saturday are due back anytime during business
hours the following Monday.  A late fee is added to any items returned after the end of rental period.

PRICING:  
We charge for time out, not time used.  Prices are subject to change without notice.    

CLEANING:
All party goods, with the exception of linens and skirting, must be returned free of any food, grease, nails, tacks, staples, tape, etc. If not,
you will be charged a cleaning fee of 35% of the price on each item returned. You are responsible to inspect and count all items at the time
of pick-up or delivery to ensure that the items are suitable for your needs.  

SECURITY & DAMAGES:
Please be sure to count all rental items before leaving.  Security is your responsibility in the time of your possession until returned.  
Equipment must be protected from damage, disappearance, and weather while in your possession.  We charge for all damaged and missing
rental items.  

RESERVATIONS:  
To ensure availability, customers are encouraged to place all rentals orders in advance.  A $25 deposit will be required to place a
reservation.  If your order includes a tent, a $50 deposit will be required.  The deposit is non-refundable if cancellations aren’t made within
24 hours of the reservation date.

DELIVERY:  
Delivery and pick-up is available based on zones.  Delivery is made to the ground floor level, tent or backyard, within a reasonable distance
of the loading area.  We will not deliver items inside your home for security and insurance purposes.  All equipment will be stacked on
delivery and is expected to be re-stacked at the time of pick-up to avoid additional charges.  For delivery service, orders must be paid 24
hours before the delivery date.  Any special accommodations for delivery or pickup during non-business hours will require an additional
fee of $100.

4 consecutive hours during store hours, or out after 3 PM and returned before 9 AM the following morning
Daily Rate
24 consecutive hours from the time out
Weekly Rate
7 consecutive days from the time out
Monthly Rate
4 consecutive weeks from the time out
Half-day Rate
Up to 4 consecutive hours during store hours
Daily Rate
Up to 8 consecutive hours and returned by 4 PM, or out after 2 PM and returned before 9 AM Monday morning
